Megan Boyle Cello Studio offers private cello lessons and group cello lessons for cello students of all ages and levels in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
From young pre-instrument lessons (pre-Twinkle Suzuki cello lessons) to advanced pre-college level cello studies, including adult beginners.
After teaching in the Utah Valley music community for 15 years, Megan Boyle has relocated to Colorado and is now teaching in Colorado Springs. For many years, Megan has maintained a large and active studio of over 60 cellists ranging from very young beginners to advanced pre-college students. Megan is former cello faculty at Snow College and Brigham Young University. She has taught private cello lessons full time since 2001 and has worked with many students of all ages and levels, including very young Suzuki pre-twinkle students, school age students, advanced pre-college students and adult beginners. Many of her students have gone on to pursue degrees in cello performance and have been winners of concerto competitions, local music awards and scholarships to music festivals and camps.
Megan has been a guest clinician and guest lecturer at many Utah music events including U of U Cello Day, UVU Cello Fest and the SAU Parent and Teacher Convention. She has taught at the Intermountain Suzuki String Institute as both cello and chamber faculty and has been guest faculty at the Tucson Cello Congress in 2016. She has served as the chairman of the Utah Valley String Festival and as the Managing Director of the Utah Valley Cello Society. In 2018 Megan started the Colorado Springs Cello Solo Festival, an annual event held each March. In addition to her involvement in music, Megan enjoys hiking, cooking, traveling and spending time with her husband and stepson.
- Private cello lessons are 30-min, 45-min or 60-min based on age and level.
- Group classes and cello choir are offered in addition to private cello lessons.
- Cello lessons are held in a home studio, located on the north side of Colorado Springs, conveniently located between I-25 and the Powers corridor.
